Thomasville- Jack Clement Besosa, passed away on Monday, May 15, 2017, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

Mr. Besosa was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Besosa and LaRue Blackley Besosa; daughter, Patricia Ann Besosa Shurtleff; aunt, Francis Patton; and uncles, Dana Rine and Jessie Sandeford.

Jack was dearly loved by his family and is survived by his beloved wife of 26 years, Diane Driggers-Besosa; son, Tim Driggers II and wife Emily; son-in-law, Tom Shurtleff; grandson, Finley Driggers; brothers, Thom Adams and Edward Besosa, Jr. (Lynn); aunt, Joyce Rine; nephews, Jonathan Adams and Jeffrey Adams; great nephews and nieces, Cole Adams, Kylah Adams, Isaac Adams and Eva Adams; and many other cousins.

He was born in Knightdale, North Carolina, but due to his father's service in the navy was privileged to grow up in places such as Italy and Puerto Rico.
Jack followed in his father's footsteps and joined the Navy on April 4, 1966, and served his country honorably. Jack is a veteran of the Vietnam War, where he earned several medals, including the Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal and The National Defense Service Medal.

The discipline and patriotism he learned in the Navy never left him, as friends and family will attest. This was proven in Jack's work in sales in the surgical and medical supplies. Jack was a world traveler, an avid reader and loved history of all kinds. He thoroughly enjoyed westerns and always said he would have loved to have lived during the times of the "old west." Jack was especially fond of and had a very special relationship with his grandson, Finley.

A funeral service will be held at 12 noon, "high noon," in the Chapel of Sechrest Funeral Service of High Point, on Saturday, May 20, 2017. Interment will follow at Floral Garden Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Sechrest Funeral Service of High Point from 6 PM to 8 PM on Friday, May 19, 2017.
