High Point- Christina Nicopoulos Prentzas, 54, of High Point, NC, passed away suddenly and went home to be with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, on Sunday January 28, 2018. She was born to Maria Nicopoulos and the late James K. Nicopoulos on January 5, 1964.

High Point- Christina Nicopoulos Prentzas, 54, of High Point, NC, passed away suddenly and went home to be with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, on Sunday January 28, 2018. She was born to Maria Nicopoulos and the late James K. Nicopoulos on January 5, 1964.

Christina was a very well rounded person in her local community and a lifelong member of Saint George Greek Orthodox church where she served on various boards and committees, The Ladies Philoptochos Society, Parish Council, Daughters of Penelope and Vice President of the Winston Salem chapter of The Daughters of Evrytania. Christina was very passionate especially about the High Point Community. She was a strong supporter of the revitalization of Downtown High Point. High Point lost a visionary icon, a true dedicated servant. She served on the board of adjustment as well as supported many candidates in previous city council elections. In addition to Christina's community involvement, she was also a creative link in the furniture and design industry for over thirty years. She was employed by Priba furniture for the last ten years. Christina was very proud of her Greek heritage and the true love that she had for her family and friends. Christina's personality was larger than life. If you knew her, you loved her vibrant smile that would light up the room.

Christina is survived by her beloved daughter Evangelitsa (Litsa) Prentzas; mother, Maria Ballas Nicopoulos; sisters, Penelope Kaliviotis and husband Sotirios, Cathy Liaskonis and husband John of Winston Salem. She is also survived by five nieces and nephews: Lena Kaliviotis, Johnny Kaliviotis, Vasili Liaskonis, Ritsa Liaskonis and Demetri Liaskonis. She was preceded in death by her loving father James K. Nicopoulos.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 30, 2018, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Saint George Greek Orthodox Church in High Point, with a Trisagion service at 7:15 PM.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 31, 2018, at 1:30 PM at the church. Interment will follow at Floral Garden Park Cemetery in High Point.
